We are pleased to introduce Greenacres’s Home Manager, Paula Mountjoy
Paula was introduced to the world of care 12 years ago starting out as a care assistant, over the years she has progressed up the levels to where she became part of the ideal carehomes team as a night care manager at sister home.
Having gained a wealth of experience whilst being a night care manager Paula then progressed over to securing a successful home manager post of her own where she could bring her vast knowledge, skills and experience to Greenacres.
Paula greatly enjoys the challenge and responsibility that the role provides and relishing the opportunity to help run alongside a brilliant team of caring staff both a well-established, popular but most of all friendly home.
Since joining the team at Greenacres Paula has put into place many useful ideas which have been greatly welcomed by both our staff and residents.
Paula currently holds a NVQ Level 4 in care and working towards her level 5 qualification and the Ideal Future managers training programme.
“My Grandma is a resident in Greenacres, and I must say that I am absolutely delighted with the care that she receives. My Grandma is always happy and smiling. The staff are excellent and genuinely care about all residents, to the staff in Greenacres I can see that it is not just a job, its a vocation and they are always happy to be in work. There are plenty of activities taking place and they are always what the residents want to do, not what the staff want to do. My Grandma attends regular residents meetings and is always asked about what she thinks of the home, if she has any complaints and if there is anything that she thinks can improve the home. A new manager, Paula, has recently taken over the running of Greenacres and I must say that she has made a big impact on the home and has made lots of improvements. I am aware that Greenacres have recently been inspected by CQC and that the inspector has raised quite a lot of issues, I would like to say that I do not see these issues and I think that they have definitley been exaggerated, I myself work in care and can honestly say that the care that my Grandma receives is second to none. The fact that I work in care means that I do know the difference between a good and a bad care home, and all I can say is Greenacres is by far the best that I have ever been in. Please do not always take what the reports say as gospel, go to Greenacres yourself to see what a lovely home it really is. Would I recommend Greenacres.......... definitely or my Grandma would not be living there. "
“My 88 year old mother has dementia and moved into Greenacres five weeks ago. It is a very difficult decision to move a parent/loved one into a care home and I found it a very emotional time. The staff at Greenacres were wonderful when mum moved in they made it so easy for her - and me ! It is a lovely, modern but homely home, the rooms are very well equipped with quality furniture and even a mini fridge. The jewel In the crown of course are the staff- all of them, they have helped mum to settle in so quickly and always have a ready smile and time for a joke and a laugh. Myself and my family have been very impressed and very happy with Greenacres so far and wholeheartedly recommend this lovely home. "
“Great home, care staff very attentive and caring. The food is exceptionally good. Happy atmosphere."
