Ideal Carehomes surprises their 22 care teams across the country with a sweet cupcake treat this Employee Appreciation Day
Ideal Carehomes have honoured the commitment and enthusiasm of its staff by surprising their 22 care teams across the country with a sweet cupcake treat this Employee Appreciation Day.
Ideal Carehomes currently employees over 1000 individuals across a variety of roles, from the front of house managers, care assistants, activities co-ordinators, maintenance, management and everything in between, and each team member received a delicious purple cupcake to enjoy as a token of gratitude for the inspirational work that has been carried out over the course of the pandemic.
Each member of the team contributes in their roles towards realising the company’s ethos of providing the highest standards of person-centred care to its residents and Ideal Carehomes wanted to make sure their staff know how much they are appreciated.
As well as offering higher than average pay rates and excellent benefits, Ideal Carehomes also delivers sector-leading training and development opportunities for their staff in the form of the recently launched ‘Ideal Academy’.
Sarah Colling, Head of Development and Engagement at Ideal Carehomes, is the driving force behind the Ideal Academy and has a staff engagement strategy in place to reward, encourage and support staff. She said, ‘Working in the care industry is an extremely rewarding career, our staff go above and beyond their job descriptions to ensure residents feel comfortable and at ease in their home. The #Thisisme initiative is just one example of how our staff take the extra time to learn about the residents likes and dislikes and pairing staff and residents with similar interests together’.
The cupcakes were delivered to each home for Employee Appreciation Day and Frankie Durrant, Front of House Manager at Elworth Grange in Sandbach, said, ‘I was so pleasantly surprised to see a huge platter of cupcakes when I started my shift this morning – it was really unexpected. Management at Ideal Carehomes are very thoughtful, and it is the little things like this that go such a long way with the team – I can certainly see a boost in morale today!’.
Ideal Carehomes Managing Director, Stacey Linn, added, ‘It is extremely important our teams understand how much we value them. Our care homes have been nothing short of inspiring during the course of the pandemic, going above and beyond their roles to provide the highest standards of person-centred care to their residents. I would like to personally say thank you to everybody who makes our homes such great places to live and work’.
