Coppice Lodge, situated on Coppice Road in Arnold, have received a rating of ‘GOOD’ for the second time following their recent inspection by the regulatory body, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
During the visit, inspectors observed the residents’ experience in the home. They spoke to several residents, their families and staff members, seeking feedback on the service the care home offers.
The inspectors also reviewed the home’s care plans, audit records and quality monitoring procedures to ensure the home was safe and well-led.
In the resulting report from the CQC, Coppice Lodge was found to support residents, fully meeting their needs and keeping them safe. The report continued,
‘People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests.’
‘The home was kept very clean and measures were in place to keep people safe from the risk of infection. The home had close links with the local community and worked in partnership with other agencies to support people’s wellbeing.’
Inspectors found that the residents living at Coppice Lodge spoke ‘fondly’ of the staff. One resident said, “I can’t fault the place, the care is excellent.”
Inspectors also noted that the home’s residents were ‘empowered to be included in the day to day running of the home’, and commended the management style in place.
