Foley Grange and Sedgley Court, sister homes operated by Ideal Carehomes, came together to form new friendships recently during an afternoon of games.
Meeting at Foley Grange in Kidderminster, staff and residents from both homes took part in friendly games of croquet and garden boules before sitting in the sun to enjoy an afternoon tea together.
Lee Smith, the Home Manager at Sedgley Court, said, ‘We wanted to give residents from each home the opportunity to meet people they might otherwise never meet, and help them to create lasting bonds and friendships.
‘It was such a pleasure to see everyone getting to know each other, and bonding over shared interests.’
88-year-old Foley Grange resident, Peter Voyle, added, ‘I had a really good afternoon. I’m looking forward to visiting the other residents at Sedgley Court next time, the conversation between everyone went so well.’
The residents from Foley Grange and Sedgley Court are now planning to write to each other to keep in touch in between visits, and hope to see each other again soon.
