Lucky residents from Launton Grange care home enjoyed VIP treatment when they were escorted to Bicester’s annual Scramble.
94-year-old resident, Harry Witteridge, was especially excited to be chauffeured to the event by StarterMotor in an Austin Seven Nippy, a car which he owned in his youth. Harry said,
‘I loved the whole day! It made me feel so happy, and riding in the car was amazing. It really brought me back to my teenage years.’

When Harry and the other residents arrived at Bicester Heritage for the Scramble, they were given the VIP treatment while they admired the classic cars on display.
Sara Reading, the Home Manager at Launton Grange, added, ‘Our residents’ faces were an absolute picture as they were driven away in the vintage cars, they were so happy!
‘We’re so grateful to be able to offer such wonderful experiences to our residents with the help of our community.’
On Saturday 28th October from 11am, the residents at Launton Grange are inviting their local community to their Halloween Party. All are welcome to dress up and join the residents for arts and crafts, devilish homemade treats, face painting and games.
