‘Keep Going, Henry!’ – Bicester Care Home Spurs on Henry Moores’ 1200 Mile Challenge for Charity
Residents at Launton Grange care home in Bicester were visited by 21-year-old Henry Moores as he passed through during his 1200 mile walk from Manchester to Ibiza, in aid of The Tony Hudgell Foundation.
Henry hopes to raise £50,000 for the charity by the end of the challenge and is set to arrive in Ibiza in early June.
The residents at Launton Grange were thrilled to meet Henry, who popped by for a chat and a well-deserved sausage sandwich around 120 miles into his challenge. Henry brought along Kai Fagan, a winner of the popular reality television show, Love Island.
75-year-old resident Judith Butler said, ‘They were such lovely boys, it was so kind of them to come and visit us. I enjoyed the kisses I received from both of them! I wish Henry the best of luck in his challenge.’
Zoe Spillane, the Home Manager at Launton Grange, added, ‘It was great to meet Henry and Kai, we were thrilled to be able to cheer them on and ask Henry all about his walk so far.
‘We’ll be following Henry’s challenge on social media, and we can’t wait to watch him arrive in Ibiza on the big screen in our cinema room. Keep going, Henry!’
