Bicester Care Home Team Up to Raise £650 for The British Heart Foundation

Staff and family members at Launton Grange care home played a charity football match against Elmsbrook Veterans, raising £650 for The British Heart Foundation.

The match took place at Launton Playing Fields in memory of one staff member’s mother, who sadly passed away due to Brugada syndrome.

The final score was 8-2 to Elmsbrook Veterans, but the loss didn’t dampen Launton Grange’s spirits. Zoe Spillane, the Home Manager at Launton Grange, said,

‘No matter the score, we are so proud to have raised such an incredible amount of money for The British Heart Foundation.

‘We’d like to thank Elmsbrook Veterans for taking part, Lewis’ Butchers in Bicester for providing a delicious hog roast, and all of the local businesses who contributed a prize to our raffle.’

Launton Grange are now official sponsors of Elmsbrook Veterans, with the home’s name displayed on the team’s new football kit. Liam, the manager at Elmsbrook Veterans FC added,

‘It was a pleasure for our team to be asked to play alongside Launton Grange for their charity match. The day was a success and a fantastic amount of money was raised for the charity.

‘We would like to thank Launton Grange for their sponsorship of our kits, and we look forward to next year’s charity match’.
