Brize Norton Care Home Partner with ‘Let’s Clean Our Village’ Community Group

Brize Meadow Lodge care home in Brize Norton are encouraging local people to join the ‘Let’s Clean Our Village’ community group after inviting volunteers for coffee and cake in the home.

Led by Brize Norton Parish Council, ‘Let’s Clean Our Village’ meet on the first Sunday of every month to litter pick in the area, keeping the village spotless for its residents.

After hearing of the efforts the group goes to for the community, staff and residents at Brize Meadow Lodge care home extended an invitation to join them for coffee and homemade cakes as a thank you.

Jack Tunley, the Front of House Manager at Brize Meadow Lodge said, ‘We are so excited to see a group like this who work together to better the community we live in, which is something we strive to be a part of in our home.

‘We can’t wait to see how this new relationship develops and benefits our area, and we hope to continue to be involved in keeping our community alive!’

85-year-old Brize Meadow Lodge resident, Helen Clear, added, ‘It’s just lovely what this group are doing. Not everyone is kind enough to get their hands dirty, but someone has to do it!’

Throughout the new year, residents and staff at Brize Meadow Lodge will be joining ‘Let’s Clean Our Village’, and encouraging others to take part.
