94-year-old Brenda Walton from Fairway View care home in Bulwell visited Goose Fair in Nottingham for the first time recently.
Taking a spin on a classic carousel and trying her luck on a traditional hook-a-duck, Brenda said she ‘couldn’t believe how big’ the fair was. Brenda continued,
‘I had a fantastic time at the fair, I’ve never been or even seen it before. At 94 years old, you don’t expect to try a lot of new things, but I had so much fun on the carousel and I won a prize on hook-a-duck too.
‘I especially liked the donuts, and we brought some brandy snaps back for everyone at Fairway View as well.’
Sarah Barnes, the Home Manager at Fairway View, said, ‘We’re always looking for ways to give our residents new experiences and memories to cherish, so to see Brenda’s face light up at Goose Fair and hear her laughter on the carousel was such a special moment.
‘We can’t wait to see what special memories we can create next!’
