Lydgate Lodge care home in Batley had a ‘fantastic’ time when they took part in the charity, WF3 Kindness’, Summer Fun Day.
WF3 Kindness is a Wakefield-based charity focused on improving the lives of people who live in the area by bringing everyone together for community events, activities, schemes and awards.
As official sponsors of the Summer Fun Day, Lydgate Lodge were joined by Roger Ram, the mascot for the Dewsbury Rams Rugby Club, and offered homemade cakes and lots of sweet treats to the community as well as a raffle with exciting prizes like cinema tickets and vouchers for a meal out.
Anna Owsicka, the Home Manager at Lydgate Lodge, said, ‘We’re so proud to have sponsored and taken part in WF3 Kindness’ Summer Fun Day, we had a fantastic time.
‘We’re always looking for new ways to contribute to, and build relationships with, our community so it was great to see so many people come together for this very special event.’

Lydgate Lodge are now inviting their community to their annual Summer Fair, which will take place at the home on Saturday 19th August. From 12:00 until 16:00, all are welcome to take in live entertainment, enjoy homemade refreshments, browse stalls, and have lots of fun on the fairground!
