Care Home Residents Head Down the Rabbit Hole for Alice in Wonderland Tea Party

Residents from Greenacres care home in Meltham recently enjoyed an Alice in Wonderland themed tea party with their friends and families.

Staff at Greenacres decorated the home’s on-site café with ornate tea pots and dressed up as their favourite characters from the Disney film, which was produced in 1951.

The residents and their guests were served hot drinks and homemade treats, including the Queen of Heart’s jam tarts.

92-year-old resident, Peter Armstrong, said,

‘It was a lovely afternoon; the staff went above and beyond to make it special for us all and the cakes were fabulous.’

The General Manager at Greenacres, Verity Taylor, commented,

‘We always strive to come up with new and exciting things to do for our residents, and our Alice in Wonderland tea party went down a storm! Our residents, their guests and our staff members all had a fantastic time creating memories together.’

Greenacres are inviting the local community to their Summer Fair on 15th July from 14:00 until 17:00. With live entertainment, games, stalls and refreshments, this will be an event not to be missed.
