Care workers graduate from Ideal Carehomes in-house training programme, Ideal Futures
Award-winning residential and dementia care provider, Ideal Carehomes, recently congratulated members of staff on completing the industry leading in-house training course, Ideal Futures.
Ideal Futures was designed to develop the skills of Ideal Carehomes team members who are looking to be home managers in the future.
Through eight monthly modules, participants learn the different elements of managerial roles in the care homes, from staff management and HR to budgeting and marketing.
Head of Employee Engagement and Development, Sarah Colling, said:
‘It’s really important that we have a great progression plan for our staff. It keeps them engaged and happy, and they don’t have to go anywhere else to progress.’
‘Somebody could start with us having absolutely no experience, on a starting salary of £23,805 per annum, and can very quickly be fully trained to have a career with us through Ideal Futures.
‘Congratulations to our Ideal Futures class of September 2023, who have all worked incredibly hard to complete this year’s course. I have every faith that our graduates will make exceptional Home Managers, and I can’t wait to see what amazing things they will achieve.’
Of the Ideal Futures class of September 2023, 21 participants graduated the course, with nine of those participants being promoted in their homes before the end of the course.
Ideal Futures graduate, Gemma Pearcey from Herald Lodge care home in Coventry, was promoted to Home Manager during the course. Gemma said,
‘My ambition in life was to work for a company where I could progress through my career and Ideal Carehomes have given me the support and opportunities to fulfil that ambition.’
‘Ideal Futures has taught me how to be the best Home Manager I can be to my staff and our residents, and that support is always a phone call away if I need it. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to progress their career in social care.’
Ideal Futures will launch again in September 2023, inviting a new group of carers and managers to learn and progress their careers. If you are interested in a career with Ideal Carehomes, please visit https://www.idealcarehomes.co.uk/careers/ or call the recruitment team on 01133 853887.
