Castleford care home cordially invites community to Platinum Jubilee Garden Party
Staff and residents at Newfield Lodge care home, located on Brookfield Avenue in Castleford, are inviting their local community to join them in celebrating The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with a garden party.
On Friday 3rd June from 12:30pm, attendees will enjoy a delicious BBQ in the gardens, freshly prepared by award winning chef,
Chris Beech, using locally sourced ingredients.
Castleford-born singer, Sophie Moss, will provide live entertainment, singing party classics from across the decades.
Front of House Manager at Newfield Lodge, Sasha Chappell, said:
‘We wanted to do something a bit different and special to give our residents a chance to meet new people, and remind them of the street parties they might have had in the past.’
Residents at Newfield Lodge are excited to spend the day with their families, friends and neighbours. 101-year-old resident, Frances Heaton, who received her 100th birthday card from Her Majesty The Queen last year, said:
‘I’m really looking forward to our Jubilee party and celebrating with everyone. I hope The Queen has a fantastic day celebrating as well.’
