Droitwich Spa Care Home ‘Thrilled’ to be Celebrating First Anniversary
Woodland View care home in Droitwich Spa is getting ready to celebrate their first anniversary since opening the doors in 2021.
On Saturday 22nd October from 10:00 – 15:00, staff and residents at Woodland View are inviting their friends and neighbours to an anniversary party.
With live entertainment, children’s’ activities and lots of delicious, homemade refreshments from the care home’s chef and kitchen team, the residents at Woodland View are excited to get the party started.
97-year-old resident, Ursula Skinner, will be celebrating the day with the friends she has met since moving in. She said, ‘Everyone in this home is so kind. It is so different to my perception of care homes before I came here – I should have come years ago!’
Monty and Marmalade from Alnewood Therapy Ponies will also make a special guest appearance at the celebrations, to congratulate the care home and its staff.
Cindy Hawkins, the Home Manager at Woodland View, said, ‘We are thrilled to be celebrating a successful first year of being part of the Droitwich Spa community.’
‘At Woodland View, our staff and residents are like family. We pride ourselves on providing quality, person-centred care to all who walk through our doors, and we will continue to do so for many years to come.
‘We’d all like to thank the Droitwich Spa community for making us feel so welcome over the last year, and we hope you’ll all join us to celebrate!’
Woodland View recently had a visit from television’s Alison Hammond, who helped the home to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Research UK. Alison said, ‘I’m moving to Droitwich, I’ve decided! I’m moving in with these residents and I’m going to be here forever! It’s absolutely beautiful here.’
Woodland View’s anniversary celebration will take place at Woodland View care home, Woodland Way, Droitwich, WR9 7GP.
