Hednesford Care Home Throw a ‘Pride Party to Remember’.

Residents at Hednesford care home, Littleton Lodge, decided to throw their very own ‘Pride Party’ this month to celebrate LGBTQ+ communities.

Although some bad weather meant the residents’ trip to Hednesford Pride was cancelled, they were still determined to show their support.

Staff and residents dressed up in the most colourful outfits they could find, decorated the home with rainbow flags and bunting, and got the party started!

Alex Ragusa, the Care Manager at Littleton Lodge, said

‘Our residents couldn’t wait to hold their very own Pride Party, so we wanted to make sure it was an affair to remember. Everyone had such a great time singing, dancing, dressing up and celebrating together as one big family. It was a fantastic day!’

86-year-old Margaret Moore said she had a ‘lovely day’. She continued,

‘Everyone had so much fun. I absolutely loved everyone’s colourful outfits; it made the day really special for us all.’

Littleton Lodge, operated by Ideal Carehomes, are looking forward to inviting their local community to their next event – a ‘dress to impress’ Casino Night. You can follow Littleton Lodge on Facebook for updates and upcoming events.
