Residential and dementia care home provider, Ideal Carehomes, has been named one of the ‘Top 20 Care Home Groups’ in the carehome.co.uk awards for the third year running.
Carehome.co.uk is a UK based care home review platform where residents, their families and their friends can rate care homes and leave comments about their experiences.
Reviewers are asked for their opinion on key parts of care home life, including care and support, staff, food and drink, activities and value for money. They are also asked how likely they would be to recommend the home to others.
The carehome.co.uk awards highlight the most recommended care homes in the UK based on reviews. The awards recognise Ideal Carehomes’ impressive group score on the leading care home comparison site.
Three of the group’s care homes also received regional awards. Rivendell View in Nottingham, Hepworth House in Wakefield and Sedgley Court in Dudley were all named ‘Top 20 Care Homes’ in their regions, with ratings of 10/10 based on their reviews. One review for Hepworth House read,
‘I have been a district nurse for nearly 40 years and have visited many care homes. I have never been in such a well-run and caring home. Everyone is friendly, compassionate and professional. The home is welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. My mum always looks nice and well kept. Excellent place.’
Amanda Hopkins of carehome.co.uk said, “It is a massive achievement to be named as one of the Top 20 care home groups in the UK by the residents and their families, who have first-hand experience of the care and support being given at the care home.
“Our awards, which celebrate the excellent care given by care home groups, show Ideal Carehomes provides excellent care throughout its homes and we would like to congratulate it on being a top care home group!
“These top performing care home groups are making a profound difference to residents’ lives by putting compassion, kindness and dignity at the centre of their care.”
Stacey Linn, the Managing Director at Ideal Carehomes, was delighted by the results. She said,
‘This is a huge achievement for our incredible teams. What makes this award so special is that it is voted for by the people we look after and their families. This means it is all about the care and support our teams provide across the country, and to win this award for the third year in a row is very special.
‘Whilst our facilities are second to none, it is our people who work in them that really make our homes the wonderful, caring places we know them to be. These reviews and testimonials just support that statement entirely! I am very proud of everyone at Ideal Carehomes, with special congratulations to Rivendell View, Hepworth House and Sedgley Court.’
Ideal Carehomes provides 24 hour residential and dementia care to residents in 30 state-of-the-art homes across Yorkshire, the North West and the Midlands, and are due to open seven more care homes over the next year.
