Launton Grange care home, in Bicester, has launched the second phase of its recruitment programme and is promoting a range of new senior carer and management roles.
The luxury care home, located on Skimmingdish Lane in Bicester, was opened by Ideal Carehomes in October 2020 and provides first-rate residential and dementia care to up to 66 residents.
Launton Grange is offering local people with experience in social care the opportunity to progress their careers through a structured development pathway with a clear route of progression towards becoming a home manager of the future.
Ideal Carehomes currently operates 28 homes throughout Yorkshire, the Midlands and the North West and is due to open further homes over the next few years. The company was a finalist for ‘Care Employer of the Year’ at the Great British Care Awards, as well as ‘Commitment to Training and Development’ at the Caring UK Awards. Ideal Carehomes also hosts its own Ideal Care Awards to recognise and reward team members who regularly go above and beyond.
Sarah Colling, head of development and engagement at Ideal Carehomes and regional finalist for the Great British Care Awards within the ‘Workforce Development’ category, said: “Career progression is a huge priority for us and we guide all our staff through our very own Ideal Academy, which includes a range of management courses and leads on to our Ideal Futures programme which has been designed to give our senior staff the tools they need to become the home managers of the future.
“Wellbeing is a core part of the package of support that we offer to all our staff and we were very proud to launch our Wellbeing Pathway in 2021 which is available to all members of the team and consists of a 24 hour counselling support line, face to face stress management training, regular mindfulness techniques and advice on nutrition, exercise and ways to reduce stress and improve overall health and wellbeing.
“On top of this, we offer competitive rates of pay that are above national living wage, helping to support our staff through the current increases in the cost of living.”
Sharon Wassing, home manager, said: “Launton Grange is a wonderful, warm and friendly place to work with luxurious social spaces, attractive décor and beautiful landscaped gardens. Our caring staff team are focused on creating a fulfilling lifestyle for our residents through a programme of regular and varied activities which make the best use of all the luxurious facilities we have at our disposal.
“Our staff also have access to some of the most innovative and supportive care technology in the industry as well as unique training and development initiatives via a range of learning resources such as E-learning and specialist workshops.”
Managing Director, Stacey Linn, said: “We are keen to hear from people living in the Bicester area who are seeking more senior roles within social care. Whilst our environments are second to none, it is our staff team who make our homes the best places to live, and who help our residents to retain their independence whilst supporting them to live an active lifestyle. We are looking for people who really want to make a difference and would like to take advantage of all the career progression opportunities that we offer.”
