Staff and residents at Blakelands Lodge care home in Marston Moretaine are inviting their local community to join them for their End of Summer Fair.
On Saturday 10th September from 11:00-15:00, attendees can enjoy a delicious BBQ in the gardens, freshly prepared by the home’s kitchen team.
With special appearances from Little Ponies for Little People, local singer and performer, Pauline Brown, and the Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, it’s set to be the perfect family day out.
99-year-old resident, Pat Rabbatts, said, ‘The ponies are such a lovely idea, I can’t wait to meet them!’
Blakelands Lodge will also host a number of stalls from local businesses, games for the community to take part in, and a stall selling handmade jewellery, crafted by the care home’s residents.
The Home Manager of Blakelands Lodge, Diane Lee, said,
‘We hope the community of Marston Moretaine will join us to celebrate our first End of Summer Fair. It’s been a pleasure getting to know our neighbours since we opened our doors earlier this year, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to our home for some family fun.’
