Kings Court care home in Middlebeck, Newark, is gearing up for #GladtoCare Week 2023 – a national awareness week dedicated to celebrating those who work in the care sector, which has returned for its fourth year.
Spearheaded by Person Centred Software, Oomph Wellness and Autumna, #GladtoCare Week will take place from Monday 12th to Friday 16th June 2023.
A representative from Person Centred Software said,
‘We hope that as many care providers and care workers will get involved to shine a light on all of the incredible work that’s been done, and continues to be done, within the industry, much of which often goes unnoticed and underappreciated.’
The theme of this year’s #GladtoCare Week is ‘Wellbeing’, and the residents and staff members at Kings Court are getting ready to take part in a variety of fun activities throughout the week, including a food tasting and exercise sessions.
On Wednesday 14th June, Kings Court are inviting the local community to join them for ‘Wellbeing Wednesday’, where they’ll be holding a yoga lesson from 10:30. All are welcome to join.
Tarnya Fairburn, the Home Manager at Kings Court, said,
‘As a brand-new care home, we’re excited to take this opportunity to celebrate care workers across the country. Our residents are looking forward to taking part in the daily themed activities, which we have planned to coincide with #GladtoCare’s ‘Wellbeing’ theme.
