‘Passionate’ Kidderminster Care Manager Recognised in Annual Awards Ceremony

Hannah Atkinson, the Care Manager at Foley Grange care home, operated by Ideal Carehomes, was recognised as the ‘Newcomer of the Year’ at the Ideal Care Awards 2022 for her passionate work in the home.

The Ideal Care Awards were created in 2019 to reward and pay tribute to staff at Ideal Carehomes who constantly go above and beyond in their roles.

After receiving over 1000 nominations across 14 categories, including Resident Outstanding Contribution, Care Team Member of the Year, and Beyond the Call of Duty, a panel of judges chose a group of finalists for each category.

Those finalists were invited to a ‘dress to impress’ gala dinner at the Casa Hotel in Chesterfield, where the judges announced the winners of each award. The announcements were live streamed on the Ideal Care Awards Facebook page for the finalists’ friends, families, colleagues, and residents to watch.

After revealing that Hannah had won the ‘Newcomer of the Year’ award, the Ideal Care Awards judges praised Hannah for ‘making a positive and meaningful impact’ during her time working at Foley Grange.

Hannah began her career in care seven years ago and joined Ideal Carehomes in July 2022. She said,

‘Being awarded ‘Newcomer of the Year’ means so much to me! I feel so proud of what I and my team have achieved so far. I absolutely love my role at Foley Grange because of the difference I can make to people’s lives, and because I can inspire my staff to give the best quality care. I can’t wait for what my future holds with Ideal Carehomes.’
