Ribbon Display coming to Woodland View Care Home for Baby Loss Awareness Week

Local Sands supporters at Woodland View care home will be giving bereaved families in Droitwich the opportunity to come together this Baby Loss Awareness Week, 9-15th October.

Baby Loss Awareness Week is led by Sands, a charity that works to save babies’ lives and support bereaved families. The Week is a time for everyone in the baby loss community and beyond to come together, to remember much-loved and missed babies, and raise awareness of pregnancy and baby loss.

Blue, pink and white ribbons displaying the names of the babies being remembered will be added to the garden fence at Woodland View for all to see from the 9th October and will remain in place till the 15th .

Ribbons are available in the foyer of the care home for all who would like to take part. Lisa Dews, the Home Manager at Woodland View said,

‘Sands offers invaluable support to the people in our community who have experienced the loss of a child or pregnancy, so our team and residents at Woodland View care home are keen to do our part in raising awareness.

‘All are welcome to collect a ribbon from our foyer to add to the display, and even stay for a cuppa and a chat.’
