Mountview care home in Rothley, operated by Ideal Carehomes, will be celebrating it’s fifth birthday next week since it opened its doors in 2017.
Mountview, which was officially opened five years ago with the help of the Mayor of Charnwood, Councillor Pauline Ranson, will be hosting a party for the Rothley community to mark the milestone anniversary.
Joined once again by Councillor Ranson, on Tuesday 22nd November from 2pm until 4pm, residents and staff at Mountview will welcome their neighbours into the care home to enjoy live entertainment from local singer, Kerry Jean, a delicious birthday buffet, and lots of fun!
94-year-old resident, Kenneth Mitchel, said, ‘The staff at Mountview are wonderful! They have bought tears to my eyes on several occasions because of everything they do for us, and I am looking forward to celebrating another occasion with my extended family.’
Special guest, Rotary Club of Great Britain member and winner of Channel 4’s Four in a Bed, Lez Cope-Newman, will attend to cut the birthday cake and release one of five white doves to commemorate the occasion.
Stacie Weaver, the Home Manager at Mountview said, ‘It has been a pleasure to share so many years at Mountview with our residents, their families, and our staff – we are like one big family!
‘I have met so many lovely people over the years and I’m very happy to be celebrating our fifth birthday with our community, with whom we’ve formed such a strong bond. All are welcome to the party, so please come and join us for some family fun.’
