Staff members from Mountview care home in Rothley raised a massive £900 for Cancer Research UK when they took on the Pretty Muddy Race for Life.
The Pretty Muddy challengers, including Home Manager Peta Goodwin-Hill and Care Manager Maureen Murray, completed the Race for Life donned in pink attire.
85-year-old Mountview resident, Janet Adkin, said ‘We’re very proud of our wonderful care team for raising such a fantastic amount and finished the race for Cancer Research UK, and for doing it all whilst wearing tutus!’
The team at Mountview are now searching for their next fundraising challenge. Peta Goodwin-Hill said,
‘We’re in awe of the amount of support we received in completing the Pretty Muddy Race for Life, and we couldn’t be happier to have raised such an amazing amount for Cancer Research UK.
‘Thank you to all of our residents, their families and our incredible community to helping us to smash this goal – it was worth crawling through the mud for!’
