Children from First Steps Day Nursery in Thirsk had an egg-cellent time when they visited Hambleton Grange care home for an Easter egg hunt.
Chocolate eggs were hidden around the gardens at the care home, where the children hopped around in Easter bunny headbands, searching for the treats.
When the hunt was over, the chefs at Hambleton Grange surprised the children with homemade Easter themed cookies to add to their bag of goodies.
Jill Dale, the Play Leader from First Steps Day Nursery said,
‘We’d like to say a big thank you to Hambleton Grange for the Easter egg hunt and for our regular visits.
‘The children and residents get so much from the visits; it promotes positive relationships, and the children especially love to sing and dance with them.’
To thank everyone in the home for their Easter fun day, the nursery children drew pictures for the staff and residents to display.
Sandra Anderson, the Home Manager at Hambleton Grange, said,
‘We’ve built a lovely relationship with the children from First Steps Day Nursery, and we love when they come to visit us!
‘They all had such a fun day hunting for the eggs. We hope they enjoy all the treats.’
