Thorn Springs Care Home Celebrates Second Year of Caring for Dunstable Community

Thorn Springs care home in Dunstable recently marked its second year of caring for the local community since opening its doors in 2022.

Over the past two years residents and staff members at Thorn Springs have offered invaluable support to people in the local area, fundraising for The Fire Fighters Charity, thanking key workers with handmade hampers, inviting community members into the home for regular events and much more.

To commemorate the homes second anniversary residents, staff, and friends of Thorn Springs came together for a party to remember, including live music, dancing and refreshments.

Guests of honour, Mary and Terry Jeater, who were the first residents to move into Thorn Springs in October 2022, said,

‘We feel very lucky because Thorn Springs is so wonderful. We are all well looked after and contented. We absolutely loved the second anniversary party; it was a perfect evening with singing, entertainment, family and wine!’

Katie Hughes, the Home Manager at Thorn Springs, added, ‘How time has flown by! We’re all so proud of what our Thorn Springs family has achieved, and I can’t wait to see what the next two years will bring.

‘We’d like to say a special thank you to our residents and our local community, who have made Thorn Springs the incredible home it is today.’
