Woodland View Care Home Donate Toys to Local Families this Christmas

Staff and residents at Woodland View care home in Droitwich paid a visit to the Salvation Army recently, to donate a sack full of toys to their Christmas Present Appeal.

Each year, the Salvation Army collect new and unwrapped Christmas presents to distribute to local children who might not otherwise receive one.

This year, staff and residents from Woodland View were determined to offer their support by asking their neighbours to donate Christmas toys, which people could drop-off at the home on Woodland Way.

Lisa Dews, the Home Manager at Woodland View, said, ‘Thank you to all of our staff, visitors and residents’ families who have donated to this collection over the last few weeks, we have been overwhelmed by the kindness shown.

‘This generosity will mean that children who may have had nothing on Christmas morning will now have amazing presents to open. Thank you also to community programme co-ordinator Carolyn Gomersall for involving us here at Woodland View in this fantastic project.’

Residents at Woodland View have also decorated a community Christmas Tree, which you can view at Worcester Cathedral.
