Woodland View Care Home Duo Tackle ’30 Mile in November’ Challenge for Birmingham Children’s Hospital
Two staff members from Woodland View care home in Droitwich are taking on the ’30 Miles in November’ challenge in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Chairty.
40-year-old Home Manager, Lisa Dews, and 39-year-old Front of House Manager, Carla Sidaway are strapping on their running shoes to raise money for the charity, which treats 100,000 ill children every year.
Lisa said, ‘One of my children is a former patient of Birmingham Children’s Hospital, they do fantastic work and offer incredible care to families in the area.
‘With our residents cheering us on, we know we can tackle this challenge head on to support this very deserving charity.’
Carla added, ‘Our Woodland View family is always looking for ways in which we can give back to our community – if you see us out and about clocking our miles, don’t forget to say hello!’
86-year-old Woodland View resident, Rosemary Harries, is one of the pair’s supporters. Rosemary said, ‘I think this is for a wonderful cause. I wish both Lisa and Carla the best of luck completing their challenge. I’m sure they’ll do really well!’
