Why are we holding an art contest?
Crofton Springs is named in tribute to Frances Emilia Crofton, an accomplished landscape painter who spent her late years living in Cheltenham. Crofton was a highly respected advocate for charities who supported the less fortunate and flourished in the mid-19th century. What better way to honour our namesake than by bringing the art community together?
What happens next?
You’ll have until 28th September to finish your piece of art. On 28th, we’ll be hosting an Open Gallery at Storyteller Restaurant in Cheltenham, where all of our artist’s creations will be displayed for the community. Our judges, including a representative from Cheltenham Art Club, will then choose one lucky winner to receive a £100 voucher for Winsor and Newton!
On 19th October, at Crofton Springs’ grand Open Day, the top three masterpieces, chosen by the community, will be displayed in the care home for all to see.
